So I started on that journey…

In 2005, I got a bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). ✅
Began working in the consulting world as a civil engineer. ✅
Started to climb the corporate ladder (and save up money). ✅

Working Mom Illusions

On the outside it all seemed amazing.

Except it wasn't.

Seven years into my career, I became a mom and was trying to navigate working mom life. Hint: It's hard.

I found myself missing out on so much. I left for work before my girls woke up and I was gone from the house for 10 hours most days. I felt as if I could never get ahead - in work or in life.

I hated living life by the billable hour.

My Online Business Journey Begins

In the fall of 2014, my online business journey officially began when I went 100% outside my comfort zone and joined a network marketing company (or MLM - multi-level marketing). I had zero clue what I was doing but it gave me my first taste of online business. Like with everything I do, I dove in head first and began listening to all the personal and professional development podcasts and audio-books I could.  

Over time, I grew a team of INCREDIBLE women, helped lots of customers with their skincare, and gained so much confidence in myself along the way as well.  More than anything though, my love affair with coaching and mentoring officially began.

In 2016, I resigned from engineering to fully focus on building my online business. I LOVED the flexibility of working online...and I loved mentoring, coaching, and training women on my team and throughout the company. 

Though the network marketing industry wasn't a long-term fit, starting that business made me realize I craved entrepreneurship and building something of my own - helping to lead me to where I am today.

While working in the NWM industry, I took courses, hired business coaches, studied marketing, and dove into personal development. And eventually that led me to leave the MLM world and enter the online service provider industry. 

Goodbye MLMs... Hello Online Freelance work!

In 2020, I felt the need to pivot. I sold my MLM business and started doing some work online (helping small businesses with social media, copywriting, and lead generation). I was freelancing as an online service provider and virtual assistant.

The freelance work was awesome - I set my own services and rates, and I worked on my own schedule. 

The online service provider industry (virtual assistants, social media managers, online business managers, etc) was exploding in growth and it was apparent that so many more companies would need virtual help in the decades to come.

From my experience in the network marketing industry, I knew so many women were looking for online side gig income...BUT many of them didn't want to join an MLM or sell things on Etsy. If they learned how to become a virtual assistant, they could make money for the hours they worked...and scale their business as needed in the future. 

Becoming a virtual assistant is an opportunity so many women are looking for but most don't know how or where to start (how to set up contracts, figure out services, set prices, find clients, etc).

So - in the summer of 2022, I started mentoring and coaching others on building their online service provider business (as a virtual assistant, social media manager, fractional CFO, or online business manager - just to name a few). 

I love helping others build the business of THEIR dreams, and in turn, I'm building my dream business as well. I love teaching others that you can build a profitable business you LOVE online - one that is all yours (and isn't run by a big corporate office). I love teaching women that they can use the skills they already have to set their services and by being resourceful can grow their service offerings over time. 

In my mentorship we start from the ground and build up from there. In just a few short months, you will be off on your own, growing the business of your dreams!
